Youth@Bruce, on March 26, 2011, hosted the Bruce Museum’s first sciCafe for young people. This invitational event is modeled after science cafes that are gaining popularity around the country. The group engaged other Bruce Museum youth volunteers, youth environmental groups, teachers, the TEDxYouth@Bruce speakers, and the local Director of Conservation to gather in a live forum to discuss environmental issues concerning National Wildlife Refuges. The guest panelist included, Jeff Jones, Fran Mauer, Sarah James, Andrew Revkin, and Denise Savageau.
